Research interests
My clinical work focused on supporting children, young adults and their families manage complex and palliative conditions and sparked my research interests: young adults with complex and life limiting conditions and their families; improving transition processes from pediatric to adult services; developing a public health approach to palliative care for young adults; family experiences caring for children with complex conditions and advance care planning. My research approaches include qualitative and mixed methods patient engagement strategies. I am honoured to work with graduate students pioneering Indigenous Ways of Knowing in their research. I am a member scholar of the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology.
